2017 Stamp Issues

Definitive Issue 201701 - Australian Eucalypts

RC 201712 - Definitives - Australian Eucalypts

After 8 years, Capricornia Post has decided to issue a new series of 6 definitive stamps, showing various Eucalypt trees from Western Australia. The old definitive series from January 2009 will remain valid, but reprinting it was seen as not appropriate as the stamps did not display the "FM" abbreviation - Capricornia was not a member of the Federated Micronations which where only founded in October 2009. On the new series, "FM" is displayed next to the Capricornian flag, although rather small.

The images of the new series have been processed with a new technique, by converting them into monochrome etching-like images, then manually re-colourizing them. Due to the format of the stamps, it was decided to write "Capricornia" instead of "Republic of Capricornia".

The values of the stamps are CW 0.10 / 0.25 / 0.50 / 1.00 / 1.25 / 2.00, with the 3 lower values using the smaller unit bit (100 bit = 1CW).

The top and bottom border fields display the Capricornian Flag. The stamps were printed in double sheets, combining the CW 0.10 / 0.25, 0.50 / 1.00 and 1.25 / 2.00 stamps, with gutter pairs with two Capricorna flags between the two sheet halves.

The price of the full set is CW 5.10. It can also be ordered as gutter pair set, as described above.
